Oftentimes, we hear that we should give 200% instead of 100%!  While I believe that is going in the right direction, I also feel giving 200% is high given most leaders are trying to give just under 100% but make it look like 100%.  Here at NSLC we challenged the students to give 110% Day 1.  Why?  Because it is just enough to get them to step outside of their comfort zone.  It is outside of their comfort zone where they discover true growth as a person and a leader is.  We want to allow them to step out of their comfort zone in a safe space to discover something new and amazing about themselves.  A “Good” Leader gives 100%.  A “Great” Leader gives 110%.  Slight variation.  However, in the words of Jim Collins “Good is the enemy of Great.”  Here at NSLC, we are going for Great!
