#NSLCENGN students competed in teams to build the most efficient (in terms of cost and function) miniature wind turbine. Groups were given a budget of $40 in the “store,” and at one point had the opportunity to compete in a mini talent showcase to earn up to $2 off the total cost for their team. The final voltage of each wind turbine was tested at the end of the evening. While the group whose wind turbine had the highest voltage also had a lot of confidence in their product, when cost was factored in, the rankings shifted.

Congratulations to Group 4, the overall winners!
