Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be an orthopedic surgeon, or better yet, the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Ben Taub Hospital right here in Houston?

#NSLCHEAL students had the chance to meet with Dr. Jack Dawson, MD, Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Ben Taub Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, to learn about what it is really like to become a surgeon and how he got to where he is in his career. Dr. Dawson gave students advice about their career paths and explained some of the challenges (and rewards!) of balancing his work and home life.
